This is a four week course on French Impressionism that will study the formation of the movement in 1874, its exhibition history as a group,and the styles of individual members: Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Camille Pisarro, Berthe Morisot, and Mary Cassatt.
Classes are offered once a week on Tuesday or Friday.
Beginning Sept. 4th
Tuesday: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Friday: 2:30pm-4:30pm

About the Artist: Sharon Worley
I am a self taught artist. I studied studio art at Ohio State University and Columbus School of
Art and Design. I have a Master's degree in Art History from Tufts University (1991) and a Ph.D. in Aesthetics-Humanities from the University of Texas at Dallas (2007). I am the former curator of the Cape Ann Historical Museum (1993-2000) in Gloucester, MA. My paintings are naïve and primitive interpretations of light
and nature. I teach and exhibit in Houston, Texas at local colleges and galleries.
